The de-aged Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy and Samuel L Jackson in Captain Marvel were distractingly fake looking.

I haven’t seen those, not my genre, but I can understand how it could work in Marvel movies and the likes.

I never even heard of that movie. He is a great actor though. I think in the mid 2000s we had a split from major individuals to just a pool of actors. The thing is their is schooling for it now and internships and stuff. So the pool of actors and actresses is so great that anyone can get a given role.
