They paid me $75.00. Now I’m having to adjust to life without a car. I walked to Fedex to make some copies. 0.4 miles. And to my bank to deposit my check. 0.3 miles. I was hurting mostly in my back while walking. I transferred my prescriptions to a pharmacy 0.4 miles away from the old one 1.1 miles away.
I cancelled my auto insurance and wrote a note to my landlord asking her to remove the $35.00 parking fee from my monthly rent.
I guess now is a good time to be doing this. The activities center for my psychiatric care provider is closed. They are 0.9 miles away. I mostly stay at home now. AA meetings are cancelled. That’s another thing I used to do. I pray my higher power gets me through this.

Sorry you had to let your car go but you will get fitter by walking. It’s not easy but I’ve lived without a car and I can get around. It’s a lot of work but it’s possible. We are pretty close to shops and such here. If no car I could survive.

Sounds like you’re able to make it without a car. I’m glad everything you need is within walking distance
