That was my experience. True, people have adopted better rules of inclusion for today’s girls but I am still uncovering the darkness that surrounded my being a girl.

When I look back on some of the ridiculous rituals we engaged in when I was a boy I can only smile. I don’t think I would change it even if I could.
When I was growing up, it was truly a boy’s world.
