Hey @TheGreatestDrZen, is that homemade chili or canned?

Craving beans now, thanks.

How homie n cozy n awesome it can be with such meals and in winter.

Looks lovely.
Good on ya.

Nice to see such post.

Love that.

I had a vegetarian/vegan bean recipe unfortunately i lost it.
Was chilli bean mix with avocado and possibly rice. and a refreshing salsa.

I have not had chilli or chilli con carne and similar for quiet some time but did make stew recently with dumplings.
Other day i made dolma i cabbage leaf but have been missing fruit and vegetables lately.
When I was vegan i ate so well in a way although it is pretty strict.

There seems to be a few people here that are bit low on cash.

I was thinking maybe we could suggest some cheap recipe ideas to each other or also quick recipe ideas that are quick to make.

Potato and onion soup is cheap. Just dice one onion and 3 potatoes . fry in saucepan in butter then add broth and boil with the water n broth.season.This is said to serve 2.

Minestrone soup can be cheap n so healthy n hearty specially for winter.

Soupe are often cheap n filling.

Mexican soup.

Carrot soup is super cheap. just boil n blend i think.

Broccoli soup. Simply boil broccoli. blend it with water n season and optional sprinkle with goats cheese.

Tomato soup. can diced tomatos, onion, water or cream. season. optional fetta cheese to sprinkle on top.

If one has a muffin maker it actually can take 10 minutes to have ready made muffins if one uses ready packet mix.Super quick if you have guests over unexpectedly. One can get packet mixes for $1 at some shops.

Then theres vegan banana muffins:

4 ripe bananas, 1/2 cup coco or vegetable oil, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 11/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon bakingsoda, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Also add walnuts (i use brazil nuts) love em!

Mash bananas with sugar. add oil. add rest ingredients and chopp nuts a little.
Put in muffin maker for 5-10 minutes
or if you are using a oven and making bread then 180 degrees for approx 40 minutes.

Cinnamon buns

50 g butter, 2 dl milk, 25g yeast, 1/2 dl sugar or sirap, pinch salt, 5-6 dl flour (optional but i use cardamon pods in my dough) I love them.big not ground.
Filling: butter, sugar, cinnamon . My friend i had made fabulous buns with almond paste or similar grated in as filling and she always doubled up on the butter and sugar. Her buns were awesome.

melt butter. add milk. finger warm. mix with yeast in bowl with wooden spoon. add sugar or sirap and cardamon or just flour. make a nice smooth dough.
allow to rise under towel for 40- 60 minutes.
make two pieces of dough.
roll out flat and spread butter and sprinkle rest filling over and then roll together and cut into buns.

Meat balls

mince. grate a onion in to mince. can grate carrot. can get creative and blend herbs and sambal oelek chilli etc in.
add egg and breadcrumbs.
If you dont have eggs or bread crumbs you can actually use chiaseeds instead as it is binding and breadcrumbs are not needed.
feel your way with it n it can turn out so lovely.

I had come to love chili but had to modify my diet because it was too heavy to carry on public transportation.

Hot chocolate and s’mores too.

In Britain we LOVE Heinz baked beans. It is beans in a tomato sauce in a can. Most often we have beans on toast.

Man I love that.

I think Australians and Canadians like them too.

Hey, jukebox. What about your paintings selling? I hope no problem.

@moonlee I go to my first flea market to sell my paintings this Sunday…thanks for thinking of me.

Oh, you mean this Sunday, not last week’s Sunday. I made a mistake.
