The collective unconscious?

Do you believe in a collective unconsciousness? My introduction to psychology class revolutioned my mind but collective unconsciousness is taught in courses more advanced.

Is it possible to get a thought stuck in your mind for decades? I don’t know why I was so greatly influenced by the simple idea of a subconscious mind. This should be common knowledge. Now there’s the idea of a “collective unconsciousness”.

That depends what you mean by “collective unconscious”. There are certain things that are innate to most people yes. Like a birds knowledge of building a nest (which also improves with practice).

According to the definition on the internet, yes. There are some things most people share on an unconscious level.

But I don’t know how you are defining “collective unconscious”, so…

I think Carl jung coined the term. I still dunno what he meant. It seems too obvious to be wat I think it is.

Yes, but not in the way you are thinking of it.

Our bodies are mostly composed of bacteria.

Jung was a nutbag who can’t be discredited hard enough or fast enough.

I’m afraid my definition is rather simple. Like a community stomach. Lol.

I studied Freud and Carl Jung in university psychology classes. Honestly it was bs. I don’t even know why I took psychology classes, I just wanted easy elective classes for credits. I got A’s in 3 psychology classes and a B in one about stress. I even found the geology class I took more interesting.
