The causal relationship between severe mental illness and risk of lung carcinoma

Schizophrenia is a risk factor for lung carcinoma, and smoking and alcohol consumption are the mediating factors in this causal relationship. LC screening should be emphasized in individuals with schizophrenia, particularly in those who smoke and consume alcohol regularly.

Didnt need to read that to know, that most people with an MI, tend to smoke or drink to alleviate their symptoms. Thats what kills us early, not the disease of Sz.

Cats are often the preferred pet for those with an MI. Cos you dont need to walk them, and they give you cuddles!
