The candle light: A cruise on the Caribbean Sea

It is late already and I have not got any sleep. So I wanted to think how my life was in the past. It was much more interesting than it is now. Back in 1998, nearly 25 years ago I went to one Caribbean cruise. It was a 1-week cruise. I was married then. We drove from Atlanta to Tampa, Florida where we started our cruise. It was sunny and warm as it is always in that region. It was an all-inclusive cruise and all meals belonged to the price of the trip. We went to Caiman Islands first and saw many places there. There was a local boat tour we took and had a chance to feed stingrays. Then we sailed to Jamaica where we stayed at least one day. It was my third time in Jamaica. After leaving Jamaica we were on the sea and sailed toward Mexico. We should have gone to Guatemala, but there was a change in plans and instead of Guatemala we headed to Cancun Mexico. I had been in Cancun once before this visit. We rented scooters and drove to one ancient Indian temple area where we stayed for a while and then continued driving to one beach area. I purchased gold ear rings to my former spose in Cancun. After staying one day in Mexico we left Cancun and continued our journey. After staying one week in the Caribbean sea we came back to Tampa. It was a good trip. When we had our meals on this Dutch ship it was interesting to discuss with different people. Once there was a woman and a man and this man told how he had coordinated the sales of some weapons to Africa. At one dinner there was an older couple and a man told how he had got his last name. When he had immigrated to the USA many decades ago, the immigration service had just given him the name ‘Smith’. So it was interesting and fun trip that created the life long memories in my mind. We took many photos, but all developed photos went to my former US spouse when we had a divorce. I still have all negatives of these photos.
