I was thinking about calling my therapist or case manager because I was lonely today, but you all have kept me occupied. I went in for rehabilitation day services Monday, but my case manager told me to go home Tuesday because I had a stomach virus. We had a winter storm Wednesday and Thursday. We are iced in, and the roads are impassable today. I haven’t been out since Tuesday morning.
I’m glad we could help keep you connected.
Thanks @PinCushion. I really don’t want to bother them with being lonely. I try to leave them alone unless it’s concerning my mental state or daily functioning.
It’s 3:22pm, and the mail hasn’t come yet. I don’t know if they will be able to deliver it with the roads impassable.
Sure. It might take a little more courage to come to us instead of the therapist but I’ll bet it’s worth it.
I’ve been doing rehabilitation day services since October 2008. The purpose of this is to keep you functioning in society and out of the State Hospital. You have to be diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness to be admitted to this program. Part of the admission criteria is numerous hospital admissions because of your mental illness. In my case I was fired from my job after I came down with Sz and moved in with my mom when I was 30 or so. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 35.
