I have seen a futuristic scfi movie in the 80s where the population gets controlled. When you turned 30 you got killed in an enjoyable way. Everyone was brainwashed looking forward to die. A couple escaped and meet others who else escaped.
You choice reminds me of the Divergent series of films.
I only watch the first one, but it seemed close to what you describe about this other film.
I like sci-fi, so enjoyed the first movie, but just never got around to seeing the other two
When i am old and chairbound i will watch all scfiseries. Dr. Who, Startreck etc…
Old Fashioned. A creepy looking guy writes, produces and stars in a creepy movie casting Elizabeth Roberts as his manic pixie dream girl. In a good old American small town, Clay can’t trust himself to be in a room alone with a woman because of his traumatizing past of being a casanova.
The Terror of Tiny Town
It’s a western made in 1938. It’s kinda rare not a lot of westerns had an all little people cast.
I wish they had made more, i love old westerns.
Your movie sounds like the plot of a 70’s film called Logan’s Run.
I watched a movie called Exiled. It’s the story of a Manhattan detective that slugs a big wig in the police department and is exiled to Staton Island. He solves a murder and tries to get off the island and back to Manhattan.
I recently watched Peggy Sue Got Married. 1986 Francis Ford Coppola movie where a middle aged Kathleen Turner faints at her high school reunion and time travels back to her real high school days in 1960. She tries to change some stuff in her life while figuring out how to get back to the present day. Nicholas Cage plays her boyfriend and future ex-husband.
I’m a big fan of the fantasy-comedy/drama.
Yesterday I watched “God’s Not Dead” (2014). It’s about a college professor and a student having a debate about the reality of God. There are a few sub plots. I enjoyed it.
I watched 2012 but can’t make it through to the end…
Effin scary! Major trigger for me
Dark Waters. Movie about toxic waste that was making people and animals sick. Lawyer sued the Dupont company who dumped toxic chemical pfoa that was used in the making of teflon. Teflon is now believe to be in 99% of humans on earth.
Tonight I watched Anaconda about a huge Anaconda that eats people. It was cheesy but still enjoyable
Eurovision on Netflix. It had Will Ferrell in it and some lady (forget her name) as the main characters. They come from a small town in Iceland and try to make it big on a music talent show type thing
“Unforgiven”. A couple of cowboys cut up the face of this prostitute in a small town in the wild west, and the prostitutes in the town pool their resources and put out a prize in gold for anyone who kills the cowboys. Clint Eastwood and Will Farrel go after the two cowboys. There is a sadistic sheriff in town who is dead set against anyone killing the cowboys. The film is about the mechanics of violence in the real world, and about what violence does to the human soul.
I watched most of An American Werewolf in London last night but turned it off.
It’s an awesome horror movie with some comedy thrown in, and it has a lot of fun playing with the werewolf mythology in movies.
LOTR The fellowship, it’s a classic, it takes me a whole day to watch the extended version, I have to take breaks because I used to have delusions about being telepathic with movies and TV in general. I do recommend the LOTR trilogy. Watch the extended versions for best experience IMO.
