Teens with high screen time more likely to be depressed, sleep poorly

I think a lot of news is correlation studies not causation. You could argue these are behaviors a depressed person does not the cause of depression. Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your articles. Good things.

As my screen time decreases my overall happiness increases. I’ve directly logged this in my recovery journal.

This is true for me. I put away my phone for two weeks only using it for essentials. I got my screentime down to 30 minutes average a day.

I felt many aspects of life improving. I think using a smart phone is habitual, kind of like digital smoking. A hard habit to break.

Now I’m using my phone a bit more, but still in a battle to weed out unnecessary behaviour, like compulsive shopping.

I have a dumbphone with twinsim that I use as a pager. That way I can put the smart phone in another room and forget about it as needed.
