It certainly is a crusade. I donāt know about you, but it is a constant battle of some sort or another for me. However, it has gotten easier with the medication.

Its certainly a daily spiritual challenge. To much mixed messages. Its a life in a jungle. On the top of the tree i get a feeling how lost i am. There is nothing to see.

its a fight thats for sure, i take meds, in a spiritual sense my faith helps me to maintain, sometimes i am not strong but it helps

Spirituality is different from religion. A lot of people confuse spirituality as a religion, but it is not.
Religion is organized and has a set of rules based on whatever diety is being worshipped.
Spirituality is individual and is related to a search for inner peace and a greater purpose.
You can have one without the other. You can also be spiritual and religious. Itās up to theperson.

I believe mental illnesses can definitely be a spiritual problem. Not exactly sure how that works though. My main defense is my meds. They seem to be working just fine for me.

In my experience it has been both. Iāve needed the meds to get me to a place where I can function, then Iāve needed to deal with all the emotional problems that have come up, and to grow, which is a spiritual adventure.

The idea that it is in any way a path to āspiritual awakeningā is pure bunkumā Those sz on the streets eating out of trash cans arenāt in the process of becoming more enlightened human beings . They are people who urgently need help. They are people who die at a tragically young age .

Praying seems to make the voices somewhat nicer, but curing SZ requires physical medicine.

@NotSeksoEmpirico I was raised in a religion and have (kind of) religious delusions so I think I know what you are saying.
Just the other day one of my voices blamed my mental illness torture on ādivine retribution,ā which I had to look up the definition, because I had no idea what she was talking about. It is a strange illness definitely!
