I heard Break Dancing is now an Olympic sport. Is this true? And if so, when will it be televised?
Yes, breakdancing and skateboarding are in the Olympics. I don’t know when they will be televised.
Yes!
Canada is in 9th place in the medal standings I see. Not bad for a Northern country, eh?
We tend to medal more in the Winter Olympics…because of our climate.
Women’s high jump should be interesting. Yaroslava Mahuchikh of Ukraine recently set a new world record of 2.10 meters. I hope she gets the gold medal in the Olympics.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

I have seen you are a keen fisherman. Do you ever go ice fishing in the winter?
Sometimes however I usually go more in the spring and summer because you can just set up and cast off shore type thing I wanna do more ice fishing but I mostly do indoor archery In the winter hard to chose one over the other lol but it’s a lot less cold in the indoor range however next year I’m going ice fishing for trout which should be fun hopefully I catch some
Is olympics objective indicator of any national qualities other than they have intensive sports programs?
It is more an an indication that the world is in constant competition, and therefore as long as it continues we will never have peace.
You cannot have competition in one hand and peace in the other!
The delusion that through competition we can evolve into a peaceful world is a misnomer.
During peace is a time to prepare for war. War weariness leads to eventual peace. What really matters is who will emerge as the winners of the war and the realignment of nations that follow.
There is no such thing as world peace because that moment came after the end of World War 2.
Competition through sports instead of military means is a far better alternative.
