As long as the competition paradigm exists there will always be war.
It is not an alternative but a fundamental building block upon which we are all conditioned and encouraged to perpetuate competition and therefore war.
To dismantle the whole structure is the only way.
To build upon it under the guise that it is a harmless alternative is like adding salt to already over salty broth in the hope that it will turn into a delicious dish.
No! you throw it out and start again with a new broth altgether.
@labratmat Humans which are similar to chimpanzees will engage in violence against each other no matter the affiliation. Psychology studies prove that friends will fight each other once turned enemies.
Asides from all this war & competition, let’s enjoy the sporting entertainment of the Olympics.
It is interesting topic outside war, look to India they have reduced emphasis on sport culturally. India does seem to have a lot more emphasis on being the nerdier type of hero than the jock. That is conflict is not war, so to discuss social conflict that causes people to be oppressed. Maybe in 50 years india will become a more socially oppressive society like US with bullies and lose the nerdy quality of their society but win at olympics
@yinyang and @broken , Now india is in the path of loosing all its parameters of British people and their social thoughts, as it was in the minds of indian because of a long period of British rule in India.
India has its own philosophy of living from thousands of years.
