Student’s theoretical position paper could push schizophrenia research into new directions

Wow! I’m impressed a student did that research. She’s going to be a great dr I think

Wow. I discovered quite by accident that my negative symptoms are not nearly as bad when I leave the bedroom light on when I sleep at night. I found out when I wore a blackout eye mask during sleep that my apathy became a lot more severe, and I figured ‘So what happens if I leave the light on instead?’.

It worked, most of the negs went away.

Good God man! Not sure where/how you are finding these studies, but great work!

Very fascinating proposal here

What visual impairments are reckoned to be involved?

Now that I am thinking more about this:

Visual-spatial ability is known to have a direct correlation to v02max basically. Schizophrenic ppl are known to have reduced v02maxes. Raising the v02max of someone with cognitive deficits via cardio exercise has been shown to improve cognitive deficits.

Also, anabolic steroid users are known to have an inverse correlation between total amount of steroids used and visuo spatial ability. This could possibly be due to reduced v02capacity.

Furthermore, I read somewhere that anti oxidant supplements (such as NAC) actually reduce v02 gains from cardio. One possible explanation is that cardio exercise boosts our bodies own endogenous anti oxidant production, and exogenous anti oxidants dampen this effect. Somehow also reducing cardio gains. Anti oxidants reduce cell damage I believe.

Cardio has also been shown to boost brain growth factor. Possible explanation for reduced cognitive deficits.

Food for thought
