Stopping Rexulti (3 antipsychotics down to 2)

I stopped taking Rexulti. I don’t want to take 3 antipsychotics. When I was at the public health center they just overmedicated people and my old dr put me on 3.

Luckily I have different insurance so I see a different dr now and she wants me off Rexulti. At first she wanted me off aripiprazole, but we tried lowering that and I had symptoms return. We also tried lowering olanzapine but I had symptoms return too.

So Rexulti has got to go! I went from 4 mg to 2 mg to 0. I hope this helps me.

My p.doc is taking me off of Rexulti and upping my resperidone. She doesnt like me on two, so i cant imagine her reaction if i was on 3! Im super nervous about it, ive been on 2 for 5 or 6 years, and rexulti has always been one of them. And now im coming off it completely. (We’re doing it slow like you did, moving down to 3mg, then 2mg, then 1mg, and then I’ll be off). Im currently in the mist of a bad paranoid delusion about showers, so I don’t understand taking me off, but whatever. I hope it goes well for you.

Planlady if you are going down in rexulti then do it genle. Just don’t go down too quickly because if you do it too fast.then the doctor can’t see what is with drawled symptoms and what is the illness. And if it’s possible to go down but not possible to stop it then see it as a victory that you can go down a little bit but if you get odd thought then I ask you not to lower your dose. I was on 3 antipsychotics for 12 years and they saved my life so I’ll never encourage anybody to go down from 3 to 2 antipsychotics and I’ll always will ask you to follow-up on your doctors instructions. If we give somebody a bad advice it can cost pressures life.

Thank you @columbus and @Pickpink and @Alice_inchains

I appreciate the concern, the sharing, and the good wishes.

It is going well for me so far. Knock on wood. In fact I feel lighter and I don’t feel twitchy anymore really. I don’t know about how long it lasts in my system or anything so I hope I don’t feel any withdrawal symptoms.
