I haven’t been off my meds in 3 years. What I remember of my self being off of them is that I had much more energy, I wasn’t always dazed and in a stupor. I want to stop taking my meds so my negative symptoms I’m experiencing will go away, they’ve started when I began medication and have only gotten worse as they’ve been increased. I hate being tired all the time and feeling like I’m looking over myself in 3rd person as my body is functioning on autopilot.
I would not go off meds for any reason other than to save my life or someone else’s. It’s tangoing with suicide for me.

I don’t suggest going off your meds. If you do decide to go off, talk with your pdoc about it. Generally it’s much better if you taper off instead of stopping everything abruptly. Your pdoc can provide you with information about how fast you should taper off and which meds to quit first.

I agree. Don’t stop cold turkey. Get in contact with your pdoc and do it togeather one step at a time.
