Hi, what do I do if I am still halluncinating on invega? Anybody else have this problem? Thank you x
Welcome!
Displaying insight is key and you seem to have it by the fact you can distinguish between hallucinations and reality. That is a big step to take. From there you can build.
My psychiatrist told me that it can take up to 6 months to come to terms with a med and i don’t know how long you have been taking them.
Hang in there. Hopefully you can either learn to live with the halllucinations ( at least you know they are) and better still they will go away.
Talk to your psych, they will know better about how long to try a med or go for a new one.
I hallucinate very often
I hallucinate almost everyday. I’m on Lybalvi and Rexulti. I compartmentalize it.
Are you on any other medication. I hallucinate and I find antidepressants help me manage it . There are also other medications
My antidepressant helps me with my paranoia that people are coming to torture me.
It took several months on invega before mine stopped. Everyone is different when it comes to meds and how they work for you though.
How is that working weight wise? Does it work in supressing the hunger from zyprexa?
I’m barely hungry. I eat one meal a day. For breakfast I just have coffee. No weight gain.
that is due to the lybalvi or were you like that before?
Olanzipine is the only med I haven’t had that is available in the UK and when lybalvi becomes avaialble it sounds like good news!
No I was on zyprexa and gained 60 pounds. I was reluctant to go on Lybalvi but my doctor reassured me I wouldn’t be hungry. On zyprexa I ate 4 meals a day.
You’ve been quieter lately, I am missing your interesting posts? @Zwaynopolous
I read a lot. Mostly psychology, philosophy, and religion. Most of my reading lately is religious. So I don’t post. Good things.
