I’ve heard some people give speeches and others speak in meetings. Good speakers have some thing by special that make them speak so well. Often you can tell how smart someone is by how they speak. Discuss
I’m lucky I sound like a moron when I talk or else I’d have a ton of youtube videos about nonsense.
I don’t mean talk nonsense
So you mean executives giving speeches at a board meeting? That’s definitely relatable.
Yeah or business meetings
Speech along with body language are very important tools allowing people to connect at an emotional and spiritual level. They reflect what information the mind holds and what feelings the heart possesses.
Therefore, if one has a decent character and is knowledgeable, this will definitely show in the way they represents themselves through talks and so on.
Also emotional intelligence is key when communicating. Basically allowing ideas to flow smoothly and setting the appropriate vibes through gestures, changes in the tone of voice or using the correct vocabulary.
Wish you could hear me read my poetry to the crowd
from the gut.
I knew this one guy at high school. I was model un partners with him. I could barely speak at all and he not only had no problem but was quite good. He went onto Harvard d and Harvard law school
Sorry I looked over your comment to understand what you are saying. IRL not in the digital world, I have trouble with all the signals people send in order to understand who they think I am. I don’t know if I’m talking too loud or quiet (My mom says I have issues with that) I can’t recognize it. I don’t know the inflection in my voice, or any emphasis, I’m getting better with eye contact. Don’t know my body language or others. Half the time I’m thinking about what is going on in my head
One moment I think I can speak, the next I can’t at all. It’s pretty frustrating and has led me to a lot of isolation. I don’t feel well.
Toastmasters is a perfect place to push the conversational boundaries you might have, to learn to speak well. There are meetups worldwide, I’m pretty sure you’ll find one in Portugal too if you wanted to try it out.
Yup. Toastmasters is good. What about people like Stephen hawking or people with cerebral palsy?
Takes a lot of confidence to speak publicly with a speech impediment.
