I love them too! A couple of my favorites are phantom of the opera and moulin rouge. I also like nightmare before Christmas, sound of music, and I’m sure there are others I can’t think of right now.

yep, I enjoy them: read somewhere that Musicals kind-of show the adversity that might exist in between said High-Art and Popular-Culture (often represented with the duality the good-blonde vs the bad-brunette.

I can see that in a few musicals.

Yah well, I guess that can also be reversed, sort to have the viewer’s expectation deceived (irony). Plus, there still are lots of people whom like bad-brunettes (and popular culture, as a matter of facts).
