Solved my sleep problem

I traded pillows. My usual pillow is flat and thin, almost like it’s not there. I was waking up several times a night breathing hard out of my mouth and couldn’t fall back asleep for an hour and I thought it was sleep apnea. About 4 years ago my sister bought me a fat pillow with arms on it to prop myself up to read but it’s not made to be a regular nightly pillow. Four nights ago on a whim I went to sleep with my head propped up on the fat pillow. I’ve slept great ever since! I don’t know why, I guess it’s the difference it makes in my breathing; I’m not waking up breathing hard and rapidly any more. I hope this is a permanent solution, it feels great getting a good nights sleep.

I simply can’t sleep with a thin, flimsy pillow. I need a big pillow that I can shape and mold.

I also use a second pillow for between my legs so my knees don’t knock together as I am mainly a side sleeper.

I’m powerless over my sleep habits. I accept it. I can only do so much.
