Wouldn’t work anyways…there’s a lot of back stabbers out there and squatters.
I’d like to have 20-40 acres of woods with a house right in the middle.
It would be nice not to have neighbors who think I’m nuts.
If I wanted a billion, I’d develop crypto. Sink like 5-10 years into it and it would get hueg. But I believe there are spiritual issues with it, i.e. I don’t think you get “saved” if you get too rich, because you’re being too “worldly”.
7-8 figures seems like a good middle ground. Not biblically huge, but not discouragingly small either. I don’t want to ponce about in aristocratic circles, I just want to hang around my middle class friends and pass the time. I figure God has a good handle on things and I don’t need to focus on big picture issues, just small stuff, like selling tat to people who want it.
Lots of insecurities to overcome before getting there though.
it’s kinda fictional… but my schizophrenic self believed it, + I got a dream about it, and the gold I saw in the dream was huge, wasn’t small chunks like most mines see, these gold chunks were huge rocks, guinness record type that was only seen back in the old days when people mined gold by just picking it from the ground surface - before they ran out and people were forced to search underground
Squat on a domain name or a piece of land which a real estate developer wants to build an apartment building over.
me too… bless that lottery lol
@ThePoorRichMan I’d say most of the gold on this planet has been found and mined. Most of the gold are melted into bars, used in Jewellery or plated in electronics.
I figure I’ll buy stock in intel (for AI robots ahead of time) and some stock for the first commercial or public quantum computer manufacture just before it comes out that way I make bank on bitcoin. That or freaking short the thing because bitcoin should crash. Bitcoin has some resistance to quantum computers but I think I read after 15-20 years, bitcoin won’t be protected anymore. Then it will just crash I think. I could be wrong.
There’s a ton of companies working on quantum computers. Google comes to mind.
still one of the most valuable things out there… wish me luck, I had forgot about it, but now I might just decide to go on a tomb raider quest to find the lost garden of eden lol:rofl:
Quest for the river pishon.
Good bye everyone, I’ve reached the maximum replies I can post - gotta wait for 23 hours to post another reply.
Anyways, my garden of eden story/quest for gold might sound stupid, but if it is, then so are the millions of people who read the bible everyday
@anon35453467 @insidemind
Just buy gold stocks…
Bitcoin will probably be quantum computer-proof. The core devs will just implement a quantum-proof form of encryption, and it will be smooth sailing.
I don’t need to be loaded… but I’ve never made more than 10k a year in my life (now 35)… I wouldn’t mind having some decent coin but I don’t want to stress out about it.
@insidemind Intel’s glory days are over and done with. The PC era is over and the smartphone revolution is amongst majority of the humans in this world. Artificial Intelligence, quantum computers, augmented reality, virtual reality and a whole bunch of other technologies will come rolling in.
Ya, I don’t know much about bitcoins or crypto-currencies. If they can and do that, I’ll have to do something else.
I’ve seen documentaries on lottery winners and a lot of them go broke fairly quick.
It happens to actors and athletes as well.
I’m not sure being rich is fool proof.
I doubt everyone with money is happy either.
I’ve watched a documentary about lottery winners going broke. I guess its the mindset of those who are rich and remain rich. Not those who win instantly and splurge all their winnings in a short time.
I would get a couple lawyers, wealth fund managers, and move out of state. Spread it out over several bank accounts. I would live within my means. I would drive a tesla though.
If I had the money I’d go for an awd vw golf r.
Honestly, I would go back in time with a time machine and buy $10000 in Monster Stock or $10000 in Apple stock and call it a day.
No one really knows what they’ll do until they actually win the lottery jackpot. Winning a large sum of money changes you and the people around you.
