Sleep Abnormalities in Schizophrenia Patients

This is especially bad on those who have schizophrenia and then have surgery of some kind because we sleep in such odd positions it can bring about complications I discovered this when I had my hip out also the strange way of looking at it I think to myself I must sleep in this position in order to avoid dreams actually this is probably not true although I do not sleep through an entire night I’m up two or three times to go to the bathroom due to my age and water pills but my schizophrenia wakes me for a couple hours in itself that’s making it necessary to sleep part of the day in order to have common thought rhythmia I would like to say that this is not uncommon with normals as to say a lot of them take sleep aids in order to regulate themselves as many schizophrenics take enough medicine anyway

It’s a roller coaster ride.

When you start meds they make you sleepy. You sleep like a brick. Then that wears off.

When I first started taking Geodon I was working and the morning dose would kill me. I would get to work and have to lay down for a while. I was lucky I had a couch in my office. I quit taking Geodon in the morning and took both doses at night. That set my recovery back years.

Now I need sleeping pills to sleep.
