The short answer is no, says dermatologist Annemie Galimont. “Showering every day is not good,” she says. “By doing so, you damage your skin barrier.” That barrier consists of proteins, fats and its own microflora: a collection of bacteria.
Sounds like sz anti-shower propaganda to me. Haha jokes. I need to shower a lot due to the insane amount i sweat and i go out of the house a fair bit. I’d be too self-conscious to be out around people while smelling bad and looking rough. I try to put on the outward facade that im normal haha.
I don’t sweat much, I wash when i need it, i aim for once a week but i lose track, I am clean though.
I heard that way back before plumbing people only had a Bath once a year and they smelled really bad, they used to have fans to try and fan away the smells, sounds gross.
Lately I’ve been showering 2 to 3 times a week. Might increase with work, though. When I was a kid, I showered every morning before school. Might have skipped the weekend frequently though.
Since the article is paywalled, I will give you the answer.
“No”, is the answer. At least that would be my educated guess.
