So what’s the difference between a diagnosis of grave or just plain sz. i was diagnosed with sz twice both in hospital settings after psychotic episodes but symptoms go away and i’m being allowed to stop medicine again. is my diagnosis either wrong or is my condition just not that severe
No idea, sorry
There are mild cases… But is generally only after one psychosis and a long term no symptoms at all period of time I don’t know what this sounds like… How similar does that sound to you
possible i guess
I’d be careful. The symptoms of sz can rise and fall - mild and tolerable one day, and terrifying and intolerable the next day. Stay in touch with a mental health professional.
Typically mild, severe, etc labels are related to functioning. If you are in and out of hospitals with no ability to hold a job or live independently, that would be known as severe. Mild would be someone who is able to do all of those things.
Personally I don’t like the “mild, severe” labels because I don’t think anyone wants to hear that they’re suffering is “mild,” and since they’re referring to function anyways they should just use high or low functioning, but maybe that would be upsetting for people to hear too who knows.
