Why is there so much emphasis on CBT these days? I found ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) much more helpful. Still in the mindfulness categories but a lot less publicized.

I am not a great fan of CBT and the evidence base for it re psychosis is conflicting to say the least. However some may find it interesting and it adds to the knowledge base.
