Serious mental illness often brings rapid weight gain – but support is missing

WHAT support? Psychiatrists all told me that weight gain was the price of being sane. They don’t care how badly they nuke your physical health as long as they quiet your head enough to move onto the next patient. The lack of a holistic approach to physical and mental health combined is rubbish and should be legally actionable.

Look for Zero Point Soup recipes Pedro.

Tonnes of variations. They’re like 50 calories for a large bowl. You can fill up without plumping up.

Also makes you :poop: like a champ.

I lost like 50 pounds due to severe psychosis but I put it back on after. Trying again now, without the psychosis.

When I came out of jail I weighed 190 pounds. I was placed on a medication called Uzedy. In about 9 months I gained over two hundred pounds. This is the fattest I’ve ever been. I think some meds cause massive weight gain compared to others. Most of them seem to cause at least some weight gain. I’m beginning to steadily lose weight once more on Caplyta, I’ve also been eating a lot less.
