So I have these panic attacks all the time and there hard to explain. It feels like everything’s going to fast on my head. Like if I’m driving there’s to many cars and to many people around and the trees are staring at me infact everything is staring at me. Does anyone know what I’m trying to explain?
Yes! Sensory overload is a thing! There’s just too much to take in and you’re left burnt out. I think of some place that calms me or call a friend during those moments.
I get sensory overload too, it usually happens when my kids are running around and other stuff is going on in the background, I usually go in a quiet room, sometimes with no lights, until I feel better.
It all can be overwhelming, especially when suffering from a disorder on top of that. I think what can help is developing an ability to realize we are all under a lot of pressure coming from within and without. We are piling pressure on pressure and then it all just becomes too much. So, learning how to better handle this pressure is key.
