I know that’s a common joke but I’ve never once gotten ill from Taco Bell. Panda Express, on the other hand… whatever they dunk/smother the orange chicken in is not of this world.

Over the years taco bell has sucked. Dude and I have resorted not to buy fast food only once in a while. ■■■■ with fifty two bucks you can get more food at a grocery store.

Honestly we just buy or make ingredients to make our own burritos. My Kids love them and it’s cheaper than buying at Taco Bell since we have to buy packs anyway from TB due to the number of people to feed. For my teenage boys I make them extra protein dense. Summers are great for burritos as green peppers, lettuce, tomatos and avocados are all free or very cheap.
I understand buying fast food for a couple people though. It’s supposed to be cheap and fast. But yeah, large families are also taking a financial hit everywhere they go, even at fast food places. Eating out as a family of 7 is super limited now.

I worked at a Taco Bell back in the early 2000s…did you know their “refried beans” are a reconstituted powder that you just add boiling water to? Taco Bell is disgusting. Well, so is McDonald’s, and Wendy’s, and… they’re all pretty disgusting. And this from someone who regularly utilizes the food bank…

California just raised the minimum wage for all fast food workers to $20. That has two effects, One. we can expect prices to go up by 15-20% and they are going to implement “demand pricing” meaning the prices for food will go up during peak periods of the day when restaurants are busiest and go back down to “normal” at slower periods.

Luckily I prefer eating at home and don’t like going out to restaurants.

Fresh fruit is good,but a problem if your shopping is done once a week. I order what I want and set a time for it to be collected by my daughter or a granddaughter. Whichever you do it, online,you get given fruit that’s going manky after a few days.
