Scared of turning 18

I’m not ready for it yet…

It’s a wonderful thing to turn 18 it’s more of a wonderful thing to turn 21 18 get you some privileges that’s for sure such as the right to decide where you live who you associate with and most of all what kind of work you want to do

@DrZen is right. Before 18 you have to go to school etc doing things you might not want to do, and have to associate with everyone just because your the same age

It was a relief to become an adult and do what I wanted to do, not what the state says

You can choose to go back to education anytime, earn money - you’ll be just fine @Crystal-Cotton

Yea, I dunno how it works in Finland, but you’d legally be considered an adult here in the States.

…That means all those instances of threats and whatnot would be treated and dealt with more severely.

It’s probs more important now than ever that you adhere to your meds and take your mental health seriously so that you can stay out of trouble and spread your wings.

18 is a new chapter in one’s life— filled with exciting changes and new responsibilities. I hope 18 will be a great chapter for you.

For men it was no big deal. My 18th birthday was just another day and not much changed. I guess the two biggest things were I could vote and I had to register for the draft. But voting was 8 months away and registering for the draft took an hour out of my life. After I turned 18 my life went on; I was already living on my own and working and driving since I was 17. The whole thing was kind of anti-climatic.

Taking benzos a few times a week should be fine. Lorazepam is the best.
