Say Anything O is for Ogre

Well I think I am going to look up crockpots at Amazon. If you have any suggestions I am all for it.

I sometimes wonder, what the sun does when it goes down behind the hill. I think it must get ready for bed. Because whatever it does, it makes the clouds blush.

If you are out sometimes during the day then buying a crockpot with a timer is a good idea. I sometimes start the crockpot in the morning at 7am and then leave for work at 8am. It sets to keep warm after 8 hours or however long I have the crockpot set to. So, the food is hot, but not overcooked when I get home after 5:30pm.

@anon10627598 I bought a 7 quart one, because I purposely cook enough for leftovers. Im also home all day with it, so mine is the old school high/low/warm knob. You can get them with timers that will automatically switch to warm setting, but I didn’t want that.

I found one that was 1.5 quarts…do you think that is a good enough size, there’s usually only me.

My husband thinks we have a three quart. 1.5 is probably enough for one person, but recipes are made for serving more people. So, it depends on if you’re using recipes. I guess you could always cut the recipes in half and that would work with a smaller crockpot.

If you have extra you can always freeze it for days when you don’t want to cook.

Well, we haven’t gotten 150 trick or treaters this year. We still have a lot of candy left.

You can always donate it to a homeless shelter. There a lot of people who would take it.

Oh I think my husband and kids will eat it.

I feel like less people go trick-or-treating these days. Maybe people are more paranoid now. Less and less people come by each year.

On our neighborhood Facebook page, a woman posted that they had had 155 trick or treaters in 55 minutes and were out of candy. It’s just not our street that has heavy traffic on Halloween anymore.

@Mars , I’m my neighborhood they have trunk or treat events where you drive to a specific parking lot. There are treats and games there. That’s what most kids do now

What types of repetitive thoughts do you have @HollyHobbie if you don’t mind my asking?

Well my crockpot will be delivered on Wednesday. I am tired now and need to chill a little before bed. See you all on the flipside, Good Night

We had a trunk or treat in our neighborhood too on 10/22.

That’s great you’re getting your crockpot @anon10627598.

@Cragger the repetitive thoughts medicine helped with is upsetting things that happened in the past - like my ex-husband cheating on me and taking advantage of me in the divorce (we didn’t use lawyers) being bullied in an old job, and a bad situation with an old neighbor who moved exactly five years ago. It was old stuff that would come out of nowhere and I couldn’t control it. It would happen over and over again. The Buspirone has stopped these thoughts. It hasn’t helped with thoughts about junk food that are repetitive.

Okay I see. I used to have a very similar affliction, it sounds like you May have a touch of PTSD. Were you diagnosed with that by any chance?

No, I was not diagnosed with PTSD. I just thought they were intrusive thoughts.

Okay, maybe it’s something different altogether. It’s just that after I broke my neck, I had memories that would flood back on me on a regular basis. It just sounded similar
