What happens if the snake escapes in your house? Does it bite? Is it dangerous?

@Blossom I don’t think I ever saw a yellow ball python – pretty!

Those are the kinds that strangle/squeeze their prey to death, their bites are harmless

Ball pythons and corn snakes are very docile (calm and gentle). They are not dangerous; neither have fangs and they are not venomous. If they escape from their terrarium, the only danger is for themselves… They might get under furniture and they could get hurt.

Ball pythons and corn snakes are very good beginner pet snakes. My corn snake, Inferno, is very sweet.

I hear the only problem with ball pythons is that they can be picky/difficult eaters. I’d also go for a corn snake if I wanted to get one. Which I used to want to, but for me, for now, one pet is enough.

I have to take a shower and wash my hair, then dry it. Sooooo not in the mood.

But I’m all packed and ready to go to go away for two days to an arts festival with my sister! Didn’t need to pack much, since it’s just an overnight.

I was stressing out so badly earlier, but my PRN really helped. So did the fact that the thing I’m stressing out over just might work out. (Chasing around doctors, trying to get them to fax things to each other, get pre op clearance for a procedure that I can hopefully start on the 31st.)

Ugh. I write that, and I’m still worried it won’t all get done. I keep being a pain in the ass and calling my PCP, and they’re getting annoyed at me, but I have to not care, and just take care of myself. My cardiologist is being amazing, though.

Yes, indeed. Ball pythons tend to go on “food strikes”, when they wont eat for months at a time. It’s not harmful, if it’s only like 3 months. There usually isn’t a real reason for them to go on a food strike.

Corn snakes don’t typically go on food strikes unless something is wrong. Inferno once went 3 months without eating. It was because he was sick. So, the vet gave us medication that we had to inject into Inferno’s muscles! :open_mouth:

Yikes!!

(I’ve injected several cats with meds, from chemo to sub-q fluids, so I know how much fun injecting a pet is… )

Not really hungry today, wonder why. I want to sleep through the weekend.

Chili is done! I’m just letting it cool off before I dig in. Per @agent101g 's request here’s a pic of it while it was simmering.

Looks good! My mouth is watering!

We’re going to pick up our hot wings in 20 minutes. I think I took a pic for the forum of them a few weeks ago.

Hey @Zoe

Don’t be weirded out, but this song reminded me of you.

Take a listen when you feel like it

I wouldn’t want it to squeeze my neck to death while I am sleeping.

Those kinds of snakes aren’t strong enough to strangle an adult to death.
