listening to Blues Traveller…boy, did their lyrics do me in…I thought they were instructions on what to tell the psychiatrist…man…27 years ago and I remember it all as if it were yesterday…did you think songs or movies were about you too?

I remember listening to a lot of Pink Floyd’s The Wall when I was in hospital. I was really feeling that album and it was like it was about me. the song Hey You especially was really important to me.

I have hard time listening to it now. which is sad, because I really really like Pink Floyd. and The Wall is a great album.

Yes! For me it was Bright Eyes and Twenty One Pilots. An Attempt to Tip the Scales by Bright Eyes really got me bad. Especially the interview portion at the end. I thought it was for me.

She Talks to Angels by the Black Crowes was a song that I was convinced was foretelling my future, and in a twisted sort of way it really did foretell my future.

When I was psychotic I thought that songs had a special meaning for me… I don’t like to hear them now they haunt me.

For me it was “you never knew” by the hieroglyphics… it’s a rap song about the third eye… I thought I was going through a spiritual awakening so yeah…

When I was first struck by this illness I heard the sound of horns in the background. I thought I was on a divine mission. I didn’t need music, lol.

I like my sanity how it is right now.

I went through years of thinking songs were for me and about me. It was grandiose and terrifying at the same time. I felt they were watching me and listening to me and that the song was about me and for me. The whole Truman Show thing is really disturbing to a person. It’s tough.
