Hi, when i got put on haloperidol and quetiapine i get RLS before i fall asleep. Does anybody else have it? If so, how do you cope or helps?
I had akathisia, all my body was restless, hands and feets. Cogentin 2-4mg fixed it.
It took 20-30min to work.
My current meds I shake my leg and feel strange all day. Yeah cogentin is good.
I noticed that if I spread out my meds like three times a day it helps with the RLS. So instead of taking my antipsychotic all At once I spread it out.
Olanzapine causes my legs to get restless so I switched my dose from night to morning. If it bothers me before bed or when i want to rest I get on my exercise bike and cycle till my legs tired. Then I can sleep nice.
I get it every once in a while in my legs, the akathisia. I just move around until I’m exhausted and it eventually passes.
Trazadone and Benedryl cause it for me.
I used to get this and it actually helped to walk it off…it got better
