Research: What support of young presenting a first psychotic episode, when schooling is being challenged?

I had unrecognised learning difficulties which by themselves hampered my academic performance . Additional to that there was an increased decline between doing O levels and starting A levels when the overt signs of serious mental illness started to kick in.
I am not sure that the development of signs of serious mental illness was seen as much of a factor in any decline and struggle to manage schoolwork beyond a recognition that generally I was having a few mental/psychological problems. As evidenced by first seeing a pdoc just before I was 17.

That title is confusing o.O seems like a bad translation.

One of mankind’s biggest issues in regards to health, physical or mental, actually in regards to pretty much any issue, is that there is a much greater focus on damage control than actual prevention.

I wish when I had gotten my friend involved in my first major episode in hs that she would have intervened and told my parents or her parents or something. I ended up manipulating her into not doing so back then (in a mean way that ruined our friendship…) because I was terrified of people thinking I was crazy but damn if I could have prevented myself from getting ptsd and saved myself all that suffering my life would be drastically different today.

This should be covered in high school health class. How to recognize mental illness in yourself and friends. It’s as important as knowing how your sexuality works
