I recently discovered that I am autistic but I’ve long known that I have good focus, in reading anyway.
That reminds me of my mom, but with her, she was with a really bad egg. She just now is dating a guy again, same guy for last 4 years but she went 20 long years without dating at all. I didn’t mean to sound mean or anything, just saying that from where I’m standing, a little companionship seems great.

I’ve looked around for quite a while and have never sighted anyone that could love me, pure and simple. So, I gave up. And I’ve been much happier since I’ve given up. I don’t need romantic companionship. @agent101g
I’m in a similar spot as you @SkinnyMe . Also I’ve been thinking and I wanted to apologize if I made you feel like your experience wasn’t valid, even though it was different from mine. Sometimes I can be dismissive of things.

My niece has autism and is very smart when she focuses on one thing. She is top of her class lol

Everyone has “some traits of autism”. But no one is a little bit autistic. You either are autistic or you are not. @Green But if you’re concerned, I suggest you get evaluated.
