So today talked with my pdoc and decided to triple my haloperidol as it doesnt cause any side effects to me. Gonna be going from 50mg/ml a month to 150mg/l a month
Isn’t that a very large dose? And you don’t have any symptoms?
No i dont have any symptoms, nor postive nor negative. Also i dont have any side effects from my meds
The dose is on the high side, but not the highest
At least you got the sense to know you need to up your dose. Often i manage mine by upping them, Exept I tell the CMHT, and dont ask for permission lol.
I hope it helps you mate.
Why would you up your meds then? I’m confused!
I assumed you was symptomatic. Why you dosing yourself up then?
Prevention is the key according my pdoc, he often suggests up the dose until there are no side effects
Im symptomatic on very low med dosage, mainly postives. Now upping my dose has brought 99,99% symptom removal from positives and negatives
This doesn’t make any sense to me.
You should ask him if the meds are for you or for him.
Oh right i see. That makes sense. Its a bloody good drug. I have it in emergencys.
It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. If i dont have any side effects from an AP, why not up the dose to prevent a relapse?
Yes it is used as a benchmark up to these days, invented in 1950’s
Also im not using any anti tremor-parkinsons agents
Here the golden standard is take the lowest effective dose.
Different countries. Different logics. I guess.
In my opinion it shoould be lowest TOLERATABLE dosage, if i can tolerate insane amounts of an AP, why shouldnt I take it?
Because there’s always a risk for irreversible side-effects that increases with time and dose.
The risk i am able to take for my sanity
If you can take 10 vitamin C tablets a day without side effects. Would you take them?
For starters there is the cost to the healthcare system. There might be side effects or harm that only becomes clear after a while,…
I have taken insane amounts of vitamins while doing a lot of bodybuilding like 50x daily dose, so whats your point?
