Relax, relax

I am extremely stressed over my dad icw kid. And over the DVT. My body and mind are in stress mode 24/7. Physically as well as mentally. Not psychotic. Just extremely tense, but also exhausted, as in burn out maybe.

I need all the relaxation techniques I can get…please help me out here.

Everything is good…a long as it is not drugs. Breathing techniques, yoga, diet, herbs, dance, massage, aromatherapy, music…I do not care. As long as it kicks my body out of danger-mode and into peace-mode.

Thanks.

Seems like you already have a good list of things that can help to relax.

Maybe start with a bath with some oils or a hot shower. Buy some lavender oil. Do some box breathing.

You’ve got this.

Light a candle and put some nice music on. Make yourself comfortable

Thanks both.

@Jonathan2 what is box breathing?

Did anybody do any burn-out recovery retreat, ever? My GP thinks this is maybe fitting. She says I need bubble baths and massages and nature walks and all. :slight_smile:

Box breathing:
Inhale to the count of 4
Hold to the count of 4
Exhale to the count of 4

Never had a burn out but I’ve heard of those retreats.

I get this form my depot and the only thing that relaxex my muscles is laying flat on my back and good sleep. Walking helps as well but gets to be hard to do.

Buble bathing soinds good to start with or just regulat hot bath than lay on your back on harder surface with some relaxing music and go mentally trough all of your body and relax little by little. Start with one leg going up, than the other leg, arms, bck muscle so on.
