Referring back to mental health services after discharging myself

Should I do this?

My relapse was two weeks ago, but the meds don’t seem to be keeping as much of a lid on things. Do you think I need to see my GP and get myself referred again so they can up my Latuda dose?

The GP is also making it difficult to get diazepam and I literally cannot cope without it at the moment.

If you think it for the best. Getting hospitalized is expensive. If you are okay with that part then it is all a matter if you think you can last the next pdoc visit. If you are doing a med change you might try to get hospitalized so they can keep a better eye on you in the process. If it is something you need immediately then you should try it. Of course I’m a little restricted because I don’t know the exact meaning of what you mean by mental health services.

Where I live you get referred to an NHS trust that deals with mental health. You then either get discharged by them or you discharge yourself, and the only people who help you afterwards is a charity called Mind I have just connected with.

Well I don’t know exactly how bad the voices are for you right now. If you think you can handle waiting to see the next appointment with your doc do so. If you really think that you need more then if you can handle the cost do that then. Still a little vague but that is my opinion.

It’s different in the U.K. Health services are funded by the tax payer.

Oh then if your job is okay with it maybe you should go.

They gave me a 24 hour helpline number. I am going to call it and ask them also what I should do. I never know what I should be just putting up with before asking for help.

That sounds like a good idea.
