It’s about half & half at Script Pick up Day (the most crowded day) at the local Facility I go to for Outpatient. Never been Sequestered though so I’m not sure about Inpatient.

Most would view it as offensive these days. We don’t have as many black folk as we do whites where I live, but the ones we do have are an important part of our community. Race isn’t a big deal around here and the kids from different races get along just fine in the school aside from the occasional retrograde knuckle dragger, who eventually winds up being shunned by the other kids for racism.
What does this mean in English L

It’s a worthy topic to explore. Over the years things have changed. Varies by region. Some reports may be biased one way or the other.
So, consensus has it, Gary Null is a big zero. BaDumTish!

I used to work at a residential school for kids with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral challenges. There were about 70% minority students. The kids who were black were far more likely to not have any actual disability apart from not knowing how to read. I felt bad for them getting stuck in a place where they had no real peers. They were only there because their public schools didn’t want to deal with them anymore. Racism is still alive and thriving on a systemic level.
They are separate topics: Gary Null and Racist Psychiatry. Hadn’t realized he was so controversial.
If you do volunteer work in the Canadian prison system, you will notice that Natives and Blacks are WAAAAAAY overrepresented compared to the percentage of the general population they actually make up. You don’t find the same problem in psych wards with blacks. Natives are somewhat overrepresented in psych wards, but usually due to substance abuse issues.
Maybe this is different down south – not sure. You folks sure do seem to shoot at each other a lot.
It might be a matter of where we live. I am in a very diverse area.
The reason your prisons and wards are so skewed might be because when a black person gets a medical arrest, they’re more likely to be taken to jail than the psych ward. Hang on, I’ll go find that source.

Actually, I did more research, and I guess this is way more of a problem for America than Canada. I guess universal health care really does pay off!

Most of the people who admire CDN health care haven’t experienced it. I’d pay for private if I was allowed to.

The upper class just go get their treatment in another country. It was the U.S. before you destroyed your health system, too.
