I was diagnosed with psychosis at 11 or 12.
My mom never let them put me on medication and quit taking me to the doctor.
She was going through a weird religious phase and thought I was possessed.
Not great for the delusions.

Oh no sorry to hear that. So you couldn’t get help until you were an adult?

We moved and she got away from that church,
Regained some of her senses.
I went back to the doctor but she was always very anti-meds.
Pretty sure she thought they would hurt my mind.

I remember last summer my son, he was 11 back then told me that he had seen some birds sitting in a tree and felt like they were fading right before his eyes. I was so scared that he had the psychosis too. Luckily there has never been any symptoms since then
