I doubt here in the UK they’d adopt such a forecast.
In my experience they let you suffer for 6 months before making an official diagnosis of Schizophrenia
Never heard of psychotic like experiences. Just sounds like a way to dress up a nasty label for a child.
Do wish for better treatment, but they barely have the resources to treat the adults let alone the children
It’s daft really, as they’d save a lot of money on preventative measures such as these, but they seem intent on letting things get completely out of control - which can be a life threatening situation for some people
They may forecast psychosis in some cases but, in my case, I’m not aware of any “psychotic-like” experiences that I had in childhood. I also have no relatives with any psychotic disorders.
My psychosis seemed to creep in slowly out of nowhere as an adult(around age 40 was when I first started having delusional thoughts).
I did probably have relatively high anxiety as a child though, if that factors in at all.
I had asthma as a kid, which later developed into sleep apnea as an adult. Maybe it’s the same with psychosis.
I first started showing symptoms of schizoaffective bipolar type when I was 12 years old. It was a slow decline, until 18 years old. At 18, I had an extremely traumatic experience, and that “broke” my mind. I didn’t get diagnosed until age 23, though.

I wouldn’t say for cast because you never know what will happen, but I would say it Indicates a potential for Indicates for sure. Psychosis Is psychosis if it happens once it’s well possible to happen again if not treated later in life
Your story Is very similar to mine…in retrospect I was a very quiet kid and always socially isolated. I had a breakdown at 19 but wasn’t diagnosed til maybe 25
My girlfriend had psychotic like experiences when she was young…she’s in her 30s now which Is when many women develop sz… I’m so scared she’ll get it …
