Competition and war also it’s amazing what people do for power and money the lives that a sacificed for the greed of the few. I don’t think it’s too late to find inner peace I think the bible says that we should not belong to this world anyway but to heaven above.

It’s not as bad now as it was in the past. In this series about WW I it tells about soldiers having to fight in bitter cold in cardboard shoes with wooden soles. It tells how in this one battle they took an army up into the minus twenty degree cold in their summer uniforms. A hundred thousand of them out of a force of about a hundred thirty thousand froze to death. There were probably contractors who equipped these troops with badly substandard equipment and made a bunch of money doing it. I don’t think things are like that now, but there are always unscrupulous contractors who will cheat the military. It’s something that has to be watched closely.
