do you agree or disagree?
especially the sweet potatoes, which I love!
I need to get this thru Phil’s head, cuz he uses the oven
all the time for white potatoes, and they come out hard, crispy skins.
no way. the skin should be the best part.

Don’t they explode in the micro?
Potatoes will explode in oven or microwave only if you don’t pierce the skin a few times.
ahhh, no not really. I have it set on the potato button,
so not sure how high that is.
they kinda do sizzle though. ha.
Ah, ok. I just usually peel them and stick them in a pot.
Either that or slice them up and put them in an oven pan
American micros have a potato button??
Wild west!
I want to try them in the air fryer.
I think potatoes are fluffier coming out of the microwave.
That’s really the only way I cook them anymore.
Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew
I prefer oven baked, just because I like the skins to be a little crispy. Not hard. I check them after 45 min to an hour.

Brushing olive oil all over before baking might help make the skins less crispy. Poke them with a fork several places before putting them in the oven too. The temperature is crucial and how long you bake them. I always heard the skin is where the most nutrients are.
If he insists on baking them this might help.
No that’s just chihuahuas.
I love sweet potatoes from the microwave. I just stab them first so there is no chance they will explode.
Disagree
I’m team oven.
I have a book that says microwaves denature your food, so it’s not healthy. I don’t use them. Sometimes at convenience stores, I use them, but try not to.
depends upon who you ask, but that sounds like a myth.
I try not to use them too, microwaves
I like baked potatoes
@JustTrish but when cooking baby corn, I just stab the heck out of them, then throw them in the trash, in case you were wondering.
I like them tossed in olive oil and spices and roasted in the oven. And boiled, mashed and served with gravy. Turned into fries and cooked in my air fryer is okay, too.
I’m half Irish on my mom’s side. Drag a potato past me on a string and I’ll follow you anywhere.
