Awww yeah my sistah

at 17 I was diagnosed with undifferentiated Sz… lately my doc has been itching to change my dx to schizoaffective… due to the development of a mood element.

People with schizoaffective have better prognosis than people with sz. I think I’m somewhere in-between sz and sza. Not fully sza since I’ve only been hypomanic, not manic.

Chops and changes between schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Pretty much has since this started for me in late 80’s. Although at one stage was manic schizophrenia as was before schizoaffective disorder was around.

I was first diagnosed with paranoid sz when I was 18, going on 19. I was also misdiagnosed with bipolar and sza, but my present pdoc says paranoid sz. That makes it 12 years living with sz whether I knew it or not.

I’ve been diagnosed by my psychiatrist three years ago as having paranoid schizophrenia, but my psychologist soon after thought I have schizoaffective disorder because I’m always depressed.

Schizoaffective d/o bipolar type for the past 4 years.

paranoid schizophrenia. I’ve had it for over 20 years.

In 2004, I developed PTSD. I may never get over it.

Paranoid schizophrenia, then later, schizoaffective disorder. Not really sure if I’ve been diagnosed right to be honest, but I’m not psychotic and highly functional without meds.

Started on March 14, 2015…coincidentally, that was also my birthday…

Schizoaffective disorder. 4 years.

Things have changed since this thread first started.
