I’m constantly searching for words when I am speaking.
Always forgetting certain words to use.
Cognitively I’m taking a big hit.
My psychiatrist acknowledges this and once told me that the Lamictal I’m using could be the cause of this.
I’m going to bring it up with her again because it’s getting worse.
I’m also having a difficult time understanding others when talking to me.
I don’t know what she can do.
I’m already on an extremely low dose, Lamictal is controlling my depression magnificently.
I’ll see what she thinks about it

My memory in general is worsening as well.
I’m forgetting everything.
It’s really awful.

Hope you will get better from it soon @Wave if it’s side effects.

I had this with and without Lamictal. Do you have sza? My pdoc told me that cognitive issues come and go with sza.
This is a big reason I stopped writing. I forget everyday words.

Well yes I have either SZA or bipolar
My diagnosis is up in the air
I’ve been noticing that after Lamictal I’m having severe issues with my memory
My doctor agrees
I’m not trying to blame all my problems on these meds.
They’ve done a lot of good also
But just noticing that Lamictal is causing aphasia and memory issues that’s all

I might go see a neurologist to get tested for dementia
It runs in my family

Yes, you are sensitive to meds.
I wanted to say something but I remembered that you are sensitive.
Would cutting off lamictal do any harm for you?

Thanks zoa
Yeah I’m very sensitive to meds
My doctor knows this
Cutting out Lamictal would be a major problem for me.
It’s currently holding me together

My doctor lowered my dose from 25mg to half of this and I became suicidal
I don’t know how to solve this
