No choice for all?
Nope. Can only pick the most important one !
I said having a job, but taking care of myself is a close second.
I think a job (I’ve only had one casual one in 18 years) but I want to see if I can get a work from home one
In my family having a job and working were a big deal. I had a weekend job when I was 14, and worked summer’s when I was 16. I dropped out of college and went to work when I was 19.
But doesnt being able to work means that your able to take care of yourself
@everhopeful
That was back before I was SzA, and I was taking care of myself then.
My mom was a single parent back in the days you were supposed to be married when you have children. She worked to support us kids.
I don’t know. Just before I was diagnosed I was working. But I was neglecting my physical and mental health. I wasn’t taking care of myself.
My dad had Sz, but he wasn’t a part of my life.

I voted taking care of myself.
I barely manage
Sza is preventing me from taking a Spanish immersion course in Central America. I have no way to get my meds while there.
Taking care of myself as well. It’s difficult to trust yourself w your own care. Mentally. Which then goes to physically as a natural consequence.
A good support is really important, as well as how you make use of what is available if it isn’t there.
I feel like sz people have to be quite creative or clever to really combat it, if they want it to have limited dysfunctional effects.
I always wanted to be a rodeo clown but schizophrenia dashed those dreams. I still have a little hope though, maybe in a couple years; who knows?
Nothing but I have trouble sticking with stuff so I guess everything
I picked other, as happiness.
Voted job. With money I can take care of myself much more easily.
Can’t get myself to make food? Buy it
Can’t clean? Hire a cleaner.
Buy automation things.
