It depends on if you get a med that works well for you or not…
when I was on Haldol… that was torture… Geodon also didn’t work for me at all…
When I was on a large dose of Seroquel alone… and in negative dive… it was also torture… I honestly feel I was catatonic.
But now… after finally finding the right combo… Latuda/ Seroquel… now it’s not so bad…
I get a bit depressed about the fact that because of the Seroquel… I have to take Metformin.
Because of the higher dose of Latuda that has quieted my head and given me more energy… I have to take Depakote to not go Manic… but new meds are coming…
We’ll see what the future brings. Good luck
I can tolerate it pretty well. I’m still young. I have negative symptoms and weight gain.
I voted 2 because the negative symptoms are a little worse and they sometimes make me tired. But I’m on three APs (one of them is PRN).
I think Im allergic. A clear 10. Meds are poison to me. The psychiatrists doesnt bother though.
When I was on 40 mg Haldol a day that was pure torture. When I was on the Haldol depot injection it was bad. I tolerate 80 mg 2X a day and 400 mg Seroquel 2X a day very well. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they weaken me physically and make me more susceptible to heat stroke in summer and hypothermia in winter.
