I always had only two grandparents, as the other two died long before I was born. The two grandparents I had both died in the early 2010s. Both made it into their 90s. The two who died before I was born, though, made it into only their 40s.

The last of my grandparents died in 1987. I’m 63 years old however.

All my grandparents have passed, but my great aunt, one of my grandparents sisters, was alive until a couple years ago. She was 93 when she died.

I also think one of their sisters I don’t know that well might still be alive…not sure.

My Nana turned 100 this year. She got a letter from the Queen congratulating her

I was raised as a child by both sets of grandparents so it was like losing my father and mother twice when they died…they are all gone…my grandpa on my mother’s side was the last one to go.

Three.

My paternal grandpa died about 10 years ago, from prostate cancer.

My paternal grandma will turn 91 this Saturday. She is blind (not born blind) and having symptoms of dementia. She can’t remember most things, such as where she lives, or members of the family. She asks the same questions about 20 times before she starts asking other questions. She doesn’t realize she’s doing it. I like to take her out for breakfast.

My maternal grandpa is in Nova Scotia, Canada. I’m in the US. He’s a POS. He’s racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, and just loves to start arguments and yells every chance he gets. I haven’t talked to him in years.

My maternal grandma is also in Canada and has dementia, just like my paternal grandma. She is in a care facility, though. I haven’t seen her in years. She was very awful to other people, before dementia. I visited her in the care facility a few times, but I haven’t been to Canada in a long while, so I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again.

No grandparents on both sides.

No parents on my side (still on my wife’s side, sadly).

I’m just happy I’m still alive.
