Poll: Do you like the area in which you live?

I like it, its nice, best of both worlds I’d say, good balance with great transport links, shops nearby, river, trees.

I was really lucky getting a place here.

I live in a pretty nice fairly urban area. I would probably call it blue collar for the most part. Not a ton of crime but once in a while when we do get a shooting it’s mostly over drug deals gone wrong or something like that.

I voted a definite meh.

There definitely are positives to this area, though. I live outside of a small town, safe neighborhood, not like my last apartment, which was in an urban ghetto. I prefer to be in a small town that’s not too far from a big city, which in my case is Detroit. I love concerts too much to live really far from the nearest big city.

I like it. I feel pretty safe, which is extra nice. It’s also on snow emergency routes, which I love because I can get to a grocery store if I need something in incliment weather. I have admittedly slid off the road and into a ditch in the snow, so I’m very uneasy about it. It’s a nice little neighborhood.

You don’t need a car here. I have everything within a short distance. We have a train and the bus. The buses come often. I don’t like crossing the highway though even if there is a walk light.

The Pros:
Safe town
Beautiful historic buildings
2 bedroom apartment
Shops and train station in walking distance

The cons:
No terrace or garden
Quite a bit of traffic
Belgian weather

In the end I’m happy where I am but considering to move to the South one day where there is nicer weather and cheaper housing.

i live in a small country town. Mallee outback of red dirt and scrub. there’s a small tavern across the road and a general store/post office up the road as well as a primary school where my children grew up. i like it here though it can be isolating. it’s 10 k’s into the next town. we have kookaburras and wallabies. the odd emu walking down the street.

Im in a rundown Tourist town on the south coast of the uk. Theres a Butlins that brings in all the holiday makers. But theres homeless camped out by the cash points, and it can be well dodgy at night.

You can bet you will smell the old weed when your out and about as well.

Im in a sort of “retirement” district so its slightly better than the main town. But i still wont go out at night of a weekend on my own.
