My mom was against vaccines.

When my sister had the measles my mom put me next to her so I would get it too.

She thought it would be more practical if we got it at the same time as it takes a while to heal.

I had to get the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) shot to go to elementary school. I hope it’s still effective.

I thought if you got measles as a kid you wouldn’t get it again?

Yeah most kids are vaccinated with the MMR jab - here in the uk.
